Frontmatec AiRA Opens New Cardona Facility

Company celebrates 25th anniversary with new headquarters

THE WOODLANDS, Texas, Thursday, June 10, 2026 – Frontmatec AiRA, a Fortifi Food Processing Solutions company, opened a new manufacturing and innovation facility in Cardona, Spain, to support continued growth, expanded production capacity and new technology development. The company designs and manufactures robotic solutions for the food processing industry, particularly for meat production. The official opening in 2026 coincided with the company’s 25th anniversary and reaffirms Frontmatec AiRA’s commitment to Cardona and the Catalonia region as well as to leadership in robotic solutions for the food processing industry. 

Founded in 2001 as AiRA, a provider of robotic solutions, Frontmatec AiRA serves as the international Frontmatec group’s main Southern Europe production center, with 88 employee owners who specialize in robotics, vision and automation technologies. The company develops solutions that improve production safety, efficiency and yields while they reduce the need for human involvement in physically demanding and repetitive processes. Frontmatec AiRA’s new facility at La Cort II Industrial Estate makes it the first organization to build and open a fully operational facility in this new industrial area of Cardona, underscoring the site’s importance to the company’s growth plans.
