U.K. Modern Slavery Act Disclosure Statement
The U.K. Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the “Act”) requires commercial organisations that supply goods or services in the United Kingdom and which have a total annual turnover above a certain threshold to publish a slavery and human trafficking statement each financial year.
Fortifi Food Processing Solutions, Inc. and applicable subsidiaries (“Fortifi”) is committed to responsible sourcing and combating human trafficking and slavery in our supply chain. Fortifi’s Code of Ethic and Business Conduct makes clear to employees that Fortifi expects the highest level of employee conduct and ethical behaviour in our daily business and interaction with our supply chain. All Fortifi employees receive Compliance and Code of Conduct training regularly.
The diversity of Fortifi’s supply chain requires stringent management and transparency therefore we have measures in place to review our suppliers for potential concerns, and to ensure ongoing compliance, including conducting thorough due diligence and having a screening tool to confirm that there is no unethical and illegal conduct on the supplier’s part before Fortifi agrees to do business with them.
Fortifi’s standard terms and conditions of purchase sets out that Fortifi expects its suppliers to comply with all applicable trade laws and regulations including humanitarian issues and conflict minerals.
