Mel Cohen

Board Director, Fortifi Food Processing Solutions

Mel Cohen joined the Fortifi Food Processing Solutions board in 2026. He currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Chicago-based CC Industries, Inc. (CCI), with operational and strategic oversight of CCI’s operating portfolio.

Following a brief stint in investment banking, Mel joined CCI in 1987. In 1994, he became Vice President of Corporate Development, leading CCI’s investments in transportation equipment, outdoor furniture, power conversion products, agricultural equipment and food processing equipment. After CCI acquired Formax, Weiler-Beehive and Young and Associates, Mel led the combination of these companies and the resultant formation of Provisur Technologies. He went on to become President and CEO of Provisur through 2022, during a period of significant growth through focused new product development, global expansion and targeted acquisitions.

Mel holds a B.S. in Finance from University of Illinois and an M.M./M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
